The Trump ‘zero-tolerance’ immigration policy has left many with zero confidence in the admin’s ability to quickly reunite children w/ their parents. The admin should appoint a Czar to break thru the bureaucracy & get these kids out of limbo & back in their parents arms.

You've been in the Senate a long time... where has your "concern" been the past three decades??? Oh I get it... wasn't a talking point back then. When will you and the Democrats start caring about the American People before illegal immigrants?? Let them go though the right way.

Caring about the American people means assuring our country maintains the values the country was founded upon...we are a nation of immigrants. Turning your back on them is as UNAmerican as it gets.

We are a nation of laws... that is what our country was founded upon. I'm with LEGAL migration. Unfortunately if they don't come through a correct port of entry, they should be held somewhere until they are properly vetted. We shouldn't be letting "just anyone" in this country.

“Just anyone” is a pretty broad description. Of course there are procedures to follow and it’s ridiculous to suggest people are against procedure, but the idea of merit based immigration is dangerously flawed. How do you judge potential? Spoiler: you can’t and should not.

I dont think its broad at all. I think merit based is a great idea. Citizenship takes a couple of years as it is. They should be working, contributing and not on a taxpayer program before they are a citizen. Sorry. We as taxpayers.. pay enough.

It’s not up for argument. It IS a broad term. And what merit? Who decides these merits?

My family immigrated in the 1950s- here's how it worked: Grndfthr had to prove: He had a place to live He had a skill/ profession and means to earn an income He had to prove that our family would not be a charge to the state or cost to American taxpayers Pretty damn good system.

Meanwhile the homeless vets and homeless children of American citizens languish in perpetuity with no voice because for Democrats nothing is more important than citizens of other countries. Ask yourself why!

FACT! Obama separated nearly 90K children from their parents and put a bunch of them in cages. Media was not only silent they covered the Democrats extensively as they praised Obama's work. Trump separated about 2K children and the media is calling this Nazi Germany.
