This piece may be worth a read: the strongest opposition to single payer comes from many of the people who stand to save the most.
#MedicareForAll needs better messaging.http://bit.ly/2HXZvne -
The article quoted uses incorrect data point: “Note: The tax increases used for this question we’re taken from Vermont’s attempt to implement single payer.” Vermont’s or any state’s finances are unlike federal government finances. Fed Govt ISSUES dollars; States USE dollars.pic.twitter.com/VxG9xYT9Zv

Perpetually printing money creates stagflation or hyperinflation, dependent on additional circumstances. Japan since the 1990s is an example of the former, while the last decade of Venezuela is an example of the latter. Both situations create perpetual economic duress.

Not if there's enough goods & services/economic activity for that extra money to purchase. And besides, single payer healthcare is less expensive than the current system, ergo, doesn't require "perpetually printing money".https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2019/4/16/18251646/modern-monetary-theory-new-moment-explained …

Regardless of the mechanism selected, it is a moral imperative that we arrange for medical care for every last American... and that we reform the medical system so that living with disease becomes not a horror but a contented existence, which empowers healing.

Bernie, Climate debate is coming up. Have you ever thought about speaking to a climate scientist? Guy McPherson would be a very good scientist to speak to. He has great ideas, and he knows what he’s talking about. You could probably contact him on Twitter. Just a thought.

Bernie I love you but there's something that feels unrealistic about this. Love the idealism. (Love the Marxism).
-
Yeah it's unrealistic all over the world.

Americans are sold a lie that it’s too expensive because they have been propping up corporations for years. In Europe even if you had to pay its affordable to most.
-
Yep on the corporate lies. We have been lied to all these years to prop up these corporations.
