$15 an hour is radical for minimum wage because then EVERYTHING will go up in price
-
-
-
Not if people stop buying when prices go up. Value is determined by supply and demand, not cost.
-
Okay but there are things that are necessary... people need groceries, toiletries, hygienic products. People need to be able to access those with ease. Basic necessities shouldn’t be raised in price
-
Yes...try buying those necessities, rent, transportation on less than $15 an hour. That's just a rediculous statement.
-
Okay, short term, yea you can afford those. But what happens when your rent goes up in a few years? Are you gonna ask for $25 an hour?
-
The prices of things have already went up way more than minimum wage has over the past decades
-
That’s due to more money being in circulation. What’s gonna happen when wages get raised? More money will be in circulation
-
Yea in circulation of the top 1%, if over 50% of people are super poor they can't afford a $400 emergency is because their wages are low circulation or not doesn't matter if wages are stagnant while the rich keep getting tax cuts they don't need at all. Your point is way off.

Absolutely not. All very basic human requirements. As in the UK the rich are getting incredibly rich whilst the rest of us suffer. Time for change in the UK & US.
@SenSanders &@jeremycorbyn together would make the world radically different! Solidarity across the water

If wanting a clean planet is radical, call me radical. If wanting healthcare for our most vulnerable is radical, call me radical. Please normalize the "radical" idea to become more mainstream.

Is it radical to think a Senator should be able to work across the aisle to pass actual legislation to address these problems? Or just jet around and make pronouncements? I think you were elected to DO something. Can you point to a legislative accomplishment of yours?
-
It's almost like you've never looked into the guy once before writing this. How isn't his record of having more amendments then any other person in Congress a clear indication that this guy is MORE willing to work "across the isle" then any other politician in america?
-
What major legislation has he passed? Offering amendments is not producing results.
-
Of course it is. He didn't just intro amendments, he got them passed, working with both parties. Amendments are something a results oriented politician might focus on when Congress is at a standstill otherwise. Amendments ONLY produce results and aren't flashy.
-
Can you give a reference to the amendments that have produced results?
-
The internet is free to you, use it?
-
I'm open to evidence - I notice that only one of the Bernie supporters tried to provide any source, and that one didn't actually support the point being made. As I said, I'm open to looking at evidence, but there doesn't seem to be any so far.
-
You have the internet in front of you, and you're demanding other people do work for you that you, as a voter, should have done already. Google "Amendment king."

What happened to individual and personal responsibility?
-
No individual not in the top .1% can afford an emergency now.
-
Afford an emergency? I'm not sure I understand.
-
It cost me almost $6,000 for 3 hours in the ER for a kidney stone while I was waiting to be approved for insurance. If someone can’t afford insurance, how they can afford to be sick?
-
And I'm sorry it's expensive to take care of problems, I really am. I understand that stuff like this is expensive- but it's safer and more advanced than other places because of just that, to my understanding, and I think that's a fair trade-off that shouldn't be gotten rid of
-
I think Australia is doing just fine with its Medicare system. We’re pretty advanced and safe in our medical practice. Try again.
