So every year government services will get more expensive with inflation but we are going to make it harder to provide more funding to cover them? Why would our state’s highest public servant be excited at the prospect of shrinking services year after year?

Most taxes are a % of something so they also grow as things get more expensive, as u point out. U r thinking in absolute numbers. Measures like this usually prevent tax rates from getting higher.

Let me count the ways... Under Gov. Scott I lost basic homestead exemption, much like social security was moved to the General Fund in a set up to change the rules.. now broken in 2 steps and we have to go to up to 20 offices to contest
