Communist China’s newest form of censorship - using students as spies to monitor their professors. This is what China does. No dissent. No freedom of thought or expression. We can’t keep pretending that Communist China is a responsible player on the world stage.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1190244660469469185 …

China is deploying students as watchdogs against teachers, to keep tabs on their ideological views. It’s part of a campaign by President Xi to eliminate dissent. https://nyti.ms/2BYBjgW

Infiltration and espionage by the Chinese Communist Party is indeed a common concern among universities around the world, most prominent in the US and Australia where there are already many reported cases. Among various concerns, surveillance and military technologies are direct threats to national security. This also strengthens the grip which China has over countries and regions with less resources to resist. This was happened also in the Cultural Revolution in 1960s, all people should worship Mao and only quotations of Mao was regarded as the true knowledge. Every concepts that opposite to Mao is evil cult. Now, Emperor Xi has already changed 10 commandments into Xi quotationpic.twitter.com/5UKBCwUfTp

This was in fact outdated ‘Cultural Revolution’ mode censorship embraced by China. All China-backed companies in HK e.g. Cathay Pacific, TVB focused more on censorship than integrity.Even ex-leader CY Leung rewards domestic helper to snitch on their employer for joining protest.
