Democratic socialism has brought us social security, medicare, the national highway system, etc. You may have qualms with the level that is needed but to say it is the most discredited idea of the last century when you have fascism and white supremacy running amok is shameful.

Free market capitalism is a + but must be regulated to keep it free. If free market capitalism becomes crony capitalism—that is a bad. Why do we pay/contract $720/day/bed for detention centers like Homestead and contract guarantees certain occupancy?

Thank you for saying it like this. Crony capitalism is the other extreme opposite to Socialism. There is a balance, however, no one seems to be able to see that. Good on you!
