I applaud @DHSgov for responding to my request & clarifying visa requirements for Bahamians fleeing to the US after #Dorian's destruction.

I think we can do better, Senator. As a state who knows all 2 well what it's like 2 lose all in a hurricane, we can & should help. They would us if we needed them & they could. Our humanity these days sucks. I don't care abt politics/party, I just want 2 see some humanity again.

Their leaders are saying on national TV that only a few of the islands were destroyed and that they are open for tourists on the rest of the islands. Why are we not flying them from destroyed islands to undamaged islands in their own "open for business" country?

I don’t believe Bahamians should come to Florida as they will become a financial burden of state and local taxpayers. All relief efforts should go towards the Bahamas
