Seminole County has been ahead of the curve, and without needing to arm teachers. I’m confident in our Superintendent
@walt_griffin and the@SeminoleSO for the training they have provided and the measures they have taken. -
Same for
@OCPSnews and@SuptJenkins and the School Board who are entrusted w/ the safety of 213K students and ~24K staff.

Hopefully with some funding to go along with your demands? Why are we hunting for far-fetched methods. Reduce school entrances/exits, increase resource officers, random portable metal detectors at schools a few (surprise) times a month.

How about better pay for teachers. Send that letter to @OCPS and the mess there in no thanks to the @OCPS Board Of Education. Low wages mean low standard of Education!

I still don't understand why there are not several metal detectors in all schools..! Every day there's less parenting.! kids spend the day learning how to kill with video games, they're trained and are a threat to others. Detecting metals and taking measures is necessary.
