"eliminate unnecessary regulation" is GOP speak for increase corporate profit at the risk of employee safety.

Just keep them out of the left lane... But on a serious note, the answer isn't more national haul trucks. The rail system with localized trucking would cut down on both traffic and highway maintainence. Not developing the rail system further was a huge mistake for this country.

My father was a truck driver too! He agreed with a lot of the Regs for highway safety because it made companies maintain trucks better!

As always you don’t back up what you are saying with facts. What regulations do you want gone. Hopefully not the safety regulations that protect truck drivers and others on the highway. We have more than enough highway fatalities now.

Endless tariff's stifle truck drivers. The Laffer effect is useless. All we get with elimination of regulations is tired truck drivers who are forced to drive twice as far and as long carrying less goods to markets that can't sell their wares. This will also drive wages DOWN
