But don’t you get it? These disaster zones sit in harms way of the next storm and the next and the next. FEMA should compensate property owners for their losses so that they can rebuild outside of flood zones but deny further insurance while we await the next storm to hit.

Uninformed you are... I had over 100k in uninsured damages from Michael, got zero from FEMA. Their rules make it impossible to repair structures more than 50% damaged. I can't even repair my shed under FEMA rules.
