My son was detained on an outstanding warrant to appear in court for a case he was fighting and winning against Chicago Police Department District 1 officers. Those same officers detained him for 24 hours and dropped him off bloodied, burned with a broken wrist. HELP US PLEASE

This is not an isolated incident specific to East Baton Rouge. The treatment of mental health at EVERY SINGLE INSTITUTION across all levels in USA is abysmal
Keep in mind that her brother had never been convicted of a crime & was therefore innocent in the eyes of the law

Vanessa and Belinda speak for all the families that have lost loved ones and continue to be victimized by these disgraceful facilities who do not even acknowledge the deaths of American citizens in their custody. Thank you

Heart wrenching to hear, imagine having to endure. So sorry for his lost, so sorry for this family. We need to fix this. How many years must people suffer before they allowed to live like human in the criminal system.
