It is so bizarre for #Trump to be pushing abstinence. The irony is almost overwhelming.
The goal of sex ed should be to inform America’s youth & improve public health. Teenagers + abstinence programs = pregnancy. It's a simple and sometimes unfortunate equation.

And, since many are unwanted, Very likely MORE abortions than would occur by sex ed and universal accessibility to passive contraceptives.

Lack of contraception in the early 1800s led to lots of what were called "early babies," when babies arrived sooner than 9 months after the wedding. Let's not go back to those days.

Don’t forget the cost to individuals and societies (especially long term) of unplanned pregnancies that result in foster care or bad parenting, etc. No data to back it up, but my hunch is that better sex ed would reduce homelessness, joblessness, welfare payouts, etc long term
