Senator, understand your emphasis on #privacy of Americans. As imp, given 2 billion on the platform, is privacy of non-Americans, hostage to a culture, outlook, individuals, algorithms, corporate structures, lobbying & governance of Silicon Valley. There are many dangers to that.
Why does it take these types of public relations crises for @Facebook to take action? Sorry doesn’t cut it anymore. We need more than a promise to do better, we need laws to protect Americans’ privacy online. #Zuckerberg

Sir, respectfully I think this thinking is misguided. FB as a social network is one of the most proactive companies there is when it comes to privacy controls. You and I are both sharing with more people, and with less restrictions right now on Twitter!

I agree. Social Media platforms, in 2018, have more influence than local news, that’s a problem. I, for one, get my news from a multitude of sources. If more than 2 cannot corroborate, it’s not real - that’s my motto in regards to news anymore.
