Mr. Senator, with all due respect, those funds to Research Gun Violence would be the definition of wasteful Government spending.

Actually, as a doc and a violence prevention researcher, **this is important**. We desperately need research (not just laws) to help us keep patients safe. It's thru research that we have decreased deaths from car crashes, pools, etc etc...https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4729430/ …

Ed Markey, spending our money on a bill to research gun violence? Are you kidding me? How much did NRA pay you to pull this crap?

I don't mean to "well actually" you, but the NRA are actually the ones who put the law into place that doesn't allow the CDC to research gun violence. This is actually a step away from the NRA.
