What’s your plan? Cut them off and let people die? Part of investing big in Puerto Rico is *necessarily* going to include close watch over how and where the money is spent. It’s not like giving them a big check and saying “Hey we’ll have a look around later, spend this wherever!”

Puerto Rico has never been alone despite San Juan’s San Jusn Mayor’s claim. But to ask US taxpayers to retire PR’s debt-a debt held by Wall Street vultures that have bought that debt on pennies on the dollar is short of criminal and a political payoffs.
