These border facilities are under-resourced, but the suffering inflicted isn’t accidental. It’s part of the Trump administration’s depraved deterrence agenda, to make conditions so miserable that migrants won’t make the journey in the first place.

The children and families in these facilities are suffering irreparable trauma. As the wealthiest nation on earth, we should not be packing people into what are essentially prison camps. We need to get these vulnerable people out of these camps NOW.

The companies that own and operate these detention facilities are making billions in profits off the suffering of these people.

Some of these sub-contracted detention centers are charging our government over $700/day for each detainee. They are not being given nutritious food, water ,medical care, beds or proper bathroom facilities. This is part of Trump's immigration policy...horrific.

They are not under resourced, they have the resources on site. The administration that runs this country is hoarding the sanitary products for those humans they took as prisoners.
