Ed Markey Retweeted The Daily Beast

When the Midwest is flooded and people have died because of climate-related extreme weather, it is shameful to joke about climate change. This is exactly Democrats’ point – Republicans only want to make a mockery of the climate crisis. We will not let them.https://twitter.com/thedailybeast/status/1110591692778950656 …

Wait flooding is now climate change? Please read a book on the history of the climate!

Most rivers have flood plains from the periodic overflow of it's banks.

I am still left to wonder when natural weather occurrences (ie: 100 yr flood) stops being 'weather' and begins to be 'climate change'. I am lucky to have worked with a NASA astrophysicist, but worry that BOTH sides use these phrases interchangeably to fit agenda.

Great Flood of 1913 occurred between March 23 and March 26, after major rivers in the central and eastern United States flooded from runoff and several days of heavy rain. Related deaths and damage in the United States were widespread and extensive. Hmm?

Stand your position, Ed. When this country is going over the cliff the GOP will blame Dems. We are the only sector of the population calling for attention to climate change.
