Today, Senator McConnell is calling for a vote on the #GreenNewDeal without any hearings, without expert testimony, without any true discussion about the costs of climate inaction or the massive potential for clean energy job creation.
Senator McConnell wants to sabotage the call for climate action. He and his colleagues want to make a mockery of the national debate that we have started with the #GreenNewDeal.
That’s because they have no plan to fight climate change and no intention of passing legislation to combat it. They have to protect vulnerable Republicans from having to defend their climate science denial.
