        One thing I'm not sure people point out is that in California's climate, at least in southern CA, is such that cars last a REALLY long time. Boxy cars from the 80s & 90s, w/honest-to-god rubber bumpers, R everywhere. Nothing 2 do w/why ppl don't buy new cars.

        That's why I prefer to be in a pickup over any mid-sized or less car!there is more mass around you! I think that's the reason old pickups and true SUV's are south a small fortune.ever look on Craigslist for a square body GM truck,that 73-87 years,find a good one for less than 25k
