People can print guns with easily removable metal parts – so a metal detector won’t detect them. Democrats tried to close this loophole in 2013, but Republicans refused at the behest of the @NRA.

Yes, it’s true prohibited persons are not allowed to own a gun… but that’s exactly why 3D-printable guns are so dangerous. It’s naïve to expect we can prevent prohibited persons like felons from accessing the internet and printing a firearm without a background check.

You don’t need a $50,000 3D printer to make a gun. Some cost as little as a few hundred dollars, and the technology is becoming cheaper and better every day.

Downloadable guns are untraceable and will threaten the safety of law enforcement, who won’t have serial numbers to reference.

And a terrorist organization could make undetectable, downloadable guns from American blueprints to attack American soldiers overseas. Whose side is the NRA on?

@NRATV likes to say “Nothing Triggers Like Truth”. There’s nothing truthful about@DLoesch's accusations or the NRA’s policies. A better slogan is “Nothing Lies Like The NRA”.#StopDownloadableGunsShow this thread

Senator, I suggest you take one of the polymer based 3D printed firearms to the TSA & see if they are detectable - THEY ARE DETECTABLE. I did & I'll enter the debate any time - I'm an FFL Type 7 Manufacturer-EXPERT!. When are you people going to find truth in your gun narratives.pic.twitter.com/UmmQJQg1mK

People have been making guns in their homes and workshop as long as we’ve been a republic. Your gun-prohibitionist lobbyist paymasters are attacking the 1st amendment now, not just the second.

And it clearly states that it is ILLEGAL to manufacture, sell, produce, ect. a firearm that, AFTER THE REMOVAL OF PARTS, is undetectable. I'm going to guess, with you being in your senior years Mr. Markey, that you have forgotten to put on your reading glasses.
