I understand regulating guns. But these files are not guns: they're like blueprints. Should the government be in the business of banning the publication of blueprints?
This is great news, but the issue is far from resolved. The TRO is by its nature temporary. There's a 1st Am argument about blueprints (which are online anyway), and a 2nd Am argument about guns, but there's nothing to stop you from regulating the printers themselves like a Schedule 1 drug. Require a license to own one.
