This doesn't even make sense from a cost perspective! What costs more, jailing this woman for who knows how long & deporting her, & then paying somebody to foster 3 children? OR granting her a freaking green card so she can work, contribute to society, and care for her children?

This is just a policy of cruelty for cruelty's sake. It's deplorable.

Any person who doesn't see this rage + evil directed right at women is deaf, blind + in denial. They have abused + enslaved women. No other group in the world has ever endured the constant attacks as women.

I agree. This seems to be a war against women.

Wow Senator. Obviously you have not read the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Realize the power of your words and the division you are creating in our Country. Also, as a lawyer you should probably know the law.

VAWA is not available for victims whose spouses are not legal permanent residents or U.S. citizens.

ICE talks a big game about the courage of agents in harms way. The reality is they’re snatching battered women, cooks at restaurants (after eating their food), and taking their kids away. All I see is cowardice, weak agents taking credit for hurting the most vulnerable among us.

I couldn't agree more,
@SenMarkey. I remind you that MA has two sheriffs (including@SheriffJoeMcD in Plymouth) actively working with ICE and using local resources to assist in ICE's mission. Please use your influence with MA state legislators to stop this practice.#abolishICE - 1 more reply
