Last month Corps stopped the rule from being finalized at our request in order to better integrate input from stakeholders. This delay is a win, and I want to reiterate my thanks for putting it on hold.

The Army Corps' proposed Water Supply Rule- as currently written- would interfere with state laws and regulations governing the management, allocation, and protection of water resources. Moving forward, it is even more important we get this right in the long run.pic.twitter.com/jEu3NLDJdp

However, is unfortunate I had to bring this issue all the way to the Army Secretary. For nearly three years, we made our opposition clear; yet it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Clearly the Corps needs more effective oversight.
