  No. Don’t thank them. Fight with them. You don’t have to wear a uniform to defend the Constitution instead of a party. Or to fight for equal rights for women and non-white humans. Or to fight for our environment. Fight and serve in your own way. But serve more than yourself.

  I agree. I was recently in Germany where my father fought and his only sibling was killed seven miles from him keeping our country free from an authoritarian. Why are you supporting another authoritarian?
