The priority of our law enforcement needs to be serious and violent crime, not somebody smoking a joint. We need to legalize marijuana at the federal level.

I like what you do but I do not agree with you on this. People are smoking weed like cigarettes; at subway stations; they dont care if there are young kids around. I dont want a contact high while I am on my way to work. #ClearBodyClearMind

Legalization also starves the racist for-profit prison industry and frees up the courts and police (and tax dollars) for real crime. Money saved can be spent on actual drug rehab.

Senator, you obviously haven’t driven in So Calif recently. Trying to avoid all the distracted, impaired, marijuana smoking drivers is like going through an obstacle course.

Senator Harris, can we also work on strengthening financial crime laws. I really think stealing a few hundred thousand dollars with a scam is just as vile as stealing a few hundred with a threat or weapon. In fact it may be much worse.

I hope you expand your conversation to talk about the benefits of the silent casualty in the war on cannabis. Hemp is an environmentally friendly renewable resource that is a natural air and soil filter with a multitude of uses. Educate, innovate, build, utilizing hemp.

Oh Connie, politicians don’t care about the nuts and bolts of an issue. Just talking points( which she won’t follow thru on). I couldn’t agree w u more. But I have zero faith that this is anything but empty words from a politician looking for votes

They need to care about the nuts and bolts of the issue if they want to win. It's going to take more than money to win. It's going to take a movement. Cannabis hemp could create a movement. I have hope! Yes we cannabis. :)

Marijuana prohibition continues because marijuana users make docile prisoners in private systems. They are easy to use for slave labor in a for profit prison system. Kick the private corporations out of the corrections systems.

Thank you for this take, which makes good sense. Have you watched the Netflix movie "13th"? That also was an eye opener, how companies like Walmart profit from prison labor--a backdoor to cheap labor cost.
