It has absolutely worked for both of the people who have actually practiced it.

Then why are teen pregnancy rates so much higher in places with abstinence only sex ed vs ones who are actually taught contraception?
-
I think he meant emphasis on the word BOTH, a joke suggesting that abstinence has two adherents.

He should practice what he preaches. (Sorry, I do not know how to say that in Russian.)

It's just funneling money to "faith based" organizations who only have their self interests as a priority. It's not about preventing teen pregnancies because if it was, they'd support birth control. Also, what about educating boys/men on their responsibilities regarding sex?
-
Yes and teaching our young ladies self defense just in case

So women can’t protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy unless they abstain from sex entirely. So a woman can’t reasonably protect herself from pregnancy using contraception, but is also not allowed to terminate pregnancy. So, I guess don’t have sex. Or have babies?
-
That’s going to make it difficult for all those randy congressmen who have their side chicks.
-
Laws don't apply to lawmakers, of course.

Well, let's be clear. Abstinence-only education does work. It gets women pregnant.

-
Exactly! That's the goal, as a tool to force women out of business and politics, so the men can own and run everything. The right wingers want men to have all the wealth and power, and to have women enslaved to the men.

YOU KNOW WHAT WORKED FOR ME? Two healthy pregnancies carried to term because I had access to birth control and testing. Thanks Planned Parenthood!
-
With my husband BTW, the only man I have ever wanted children with.

Telling teens to "just abstain" to prevent unwanted pregnancy is like telling a blind person to "just look harder" to cure blindness.
