As someone who worked 7 yrs in OBGYN I can say this is a sorely needed & LONG overdue initiative. My friend started @Midwives4Haiti if you’d like more info & resources @SenKamalaHarris

Why are you supporting the murder of black babies thru Planned Parenthood?
-
You sound confused. Planned Parenthood doesn't murder anyone.

OMG! Is EVERYTHING about race with you? How about just MATERNAL HEALTH WEEK.
-
Considering it's black women who are 243% more likely to die during childbirth than white women, yes this about race. If you're too thick-skulled to realize the important role race plays in this might I suggest not commenting?

This is unacceptable. We need more women in office like you
@SenKamalaHarris to fight for the rights of women until we don't have to fight for them anymore.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

If I make statements, I provide the source. So should the race baiter.

And that article isn't minority focused.

Okay I can link you to things, but I can’t do the reading for you. From the presentation in the article:pic.twitter.com/HbOC8REzzY

Blanket statements, they don't identify the problems. I pointed out to you issues, such as hypertension on the urban population, that lead to a high mortality rate. Kammy infers that white people don't care. Not true.
-
Not remotely fair. You asked a reasonable question but why won't you accept a perfectly reasonable answer?

I somehow don't think that black women are naturally 2.43x less healthy. This statistic is evidence of systemic racism in our healthcare.

Care to enlighten everyone why that is, Kamala? Does it have anything to do with lifestyle choices?
-
No. It has mostly to do with the way they are treated by white people.https://www.npr.org/2017/12/07/568948782/black-mothers-keep-dying-after-giving-birth-shalon-irvings-story-explains-why …

You should note that a very big factor is the a great majority of black mothers are below middle class, live in poor communities with hospitals that are sub-par due to their lack of resources, doctors, etc... In this particular case, it seems more economics than skin color.
-
you're right. I forgot how pressure and stress can affect a pregnancy. being poor, black and pregnant get a different response from white-america than being poor, white, and pregnant.
-
Poverty tends to be such a divider in my mind that I forget how racist people can be.
