Senator Harris, Canadian perspective: America in current shithouse position in part due to Senator Sanders undermining Democratic Presidential nominee. Lost credibility & confused voters

Lol blaming the person who would have crushed Trump if the Democratic Party didn't cheat? Nice
-
not sure what “cheating” you r referencing, or how it is relevant? The Democrats selected their candidate: Saunders responsibility then was to support or shut up, regardless of his personal feelings.
-
HE ENDORSED HER AND HE WENT ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL FOR HER. What else is he supposed to do? Cut his skin off she can wear it as a mask so her supporters think she is Bernie? She was an awful candidate and the the only people responsible for her loss or Herself and he Staff.

Hey, I am Canadian, with no inside info on American electoral process. I am expressing personal opinion, not claiming to be a political know it all. Lighten up
-
then I got mad for no reason. It just frustrating when her supporters blame everyone but Hillary for losing a year after the election. We had warned them a year before the election that she was weak candidate and could easily lose. They were too busy breathing in their own farts
-
Ok, fair enuf, altho she didn’t do badly vote wise. In Canada, only qualified & experienced politicians, heads of each political party, r eligible to run for Prime Minister. Our PM election is 2 months max. I am shocked by 45 & GOP behaviour
-
The US was on the way to Hell before Trump. Trump is just an ugly face to an ugly reality. Any other republican would be doing the same policies as Trump. They would just be more polite about it.

NHS a travesty of a mockery of a sham. Canadian big shots come to USA for serious conditions. Socialism is a dreaded disease that has no cure.
-
Key word being big shots. The American healthcare system is the best in the world... If you're wealthy. If not it's the worst in the developed world by a lot.
-
Canadians have long waits for medical attention and you are wrong they are increasingly coming to the USA!
-
Canadians have long waits whereas in America we don't wait at all because we cannot afford medical care. I'd rather wait a little bit to receive care than go into bankruptcy or never receive the care because of the size of my bank account.
-
In Europe we do have long waits but if it’s urgent you will find immediate help at almost no cost.. couln’t imagine it any other way
-
Long waits means fast moving cancers spreading as in prostate cancer (colon too)which is the difference between living after prompt discovery and action or spreading to bones misery and death. "Big shots" prove the case as they can afford the best and they choose American.
-
My granda was diagnosed with cancer and the week after that he was on chemo.. like I said you get immediate help if it’s urgent
-
Knee replacement is not urgent but suffering for months in horrific pain waiting for surgery caused many to find surgery elsewhere.

You are co-sponsoring a bill with a documented aide to Putin. Putin used Bernie and his trolls to split the democrats. Bernie is still undermining the party. He is toxic

I don’t support
#MedicareForAll. I support Universal Healthcare for all. -
It’s pretty much the same thing ?
-
No it’s not. Universal health care means getting everyone health care coverage, regardless of public or private. Medicare is a federal government funded program and, given to everyone, would be a huge and risky change to health care and economy
-
How is it risky to cut out the wasteful health insurance industry? We can put all the extra resources into free college education so we get more health care professionals, more R&D, more preventative and early detection etc. think about it.
-
Because health care accounts for 1/6th of the US economy and having the federal government take that over in one shot would be volatile and send voters into hysteria. Did you not see how people lost their minds to ObamaCare??
-
Bonnie, have you seen the salaries of the healthcare execs? Where are these salaries coming from? Our premiums and deductibles, that's where. Also from all the people who pay their insurance premiums for decades and then get turned down for needed coverage./1 of 3pic.twitter.com/crq3qcQDoZ
-
What viable function do Insurance companies perform, anyway? Why do you say that we need to continue to fund them when they are not funding our medical needs? Medical expenses account for approximately 62% of personal bankruptcies in the US./2 of 3https://www.huffingtonpost.com/simple-thrifty-living/top-10-reasons-people-go-_b_6887642.html …

Your point about switching to
#MedicareForAll in "one shot" is a valid one. But no one is proposing this. The changeover would be gradual to accommodate any transition issues./3 of 3https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2017/09/14/bernie-sanders-startsthats-startsan-important-conversation-about-health-care/?utm_term=.2a6113b1c7d5 …
