This fight is especially important now, in this moment when there are so-called leaders who are really sewing hate and division. And, I feel strongly that the spirit of Dr. King’s leadership and legacy is about remembering that we are all in it together.

Diverse as we are, we have so much more in common than what separates us. This is a moment to remember that, to fight for that, to celebrate that, and to march on.

Here's hoping that you feel inspired to run for president. Joe
@RepJoeKennedy would be an excellent VP. -
Or
@SenDuckworth, or@SenBooker , or@elizabethforma. I would love any of those tickets. -
Yeah...I like all 3 you listed too. I just like Joe a little bit more.
@SenGillibrand is in the mix as well. -
I'd love that. Great, experienced, smart, progressive candidates all.

Democracy now is playing his London 1964 speech. It is haunting and revealing in light of the here and now, past and future. Where is our MLK of today?
-
Today we must be him.

Watched the movie
The Post. Cried and had a moment of appreciation for the 1st Amendment like never before. -
Same. My son's government teacher invited all of her students to watch it with her. This is the same teacher that gives every student a voter registration card for their 18th birthday. Go, public school teachers!

Read the parts where he says racism is intrinsically part of American capitalism and how we need to move toward democratic socialism. Then run that way.

I fought for what I thought was right, which was for Al Franken to have due process via ethics committee.
#AlFranken2020 -
OMG... Get over it already. Due process wasn't even a factor. He did something dumb, got caught, apologized, was asked to step down and he chose to step down. Had he not CHOSEN to step down, he would have had an ethics investigation. Move on already.pic.twitter.com/C8QcNPbgiG

I agree-he should gone through the ethics committee instead of stepping down.

Watch the videos, too. Gives you a fuller perspective of what a powerful orator he was. Will be helpful when you run for President!
