These young men and women are a great value to thie communities and to our economy. This is their country, like it is ours.

Yes. Our citizenship track is unnecessarily long, expensive + difficult. Should not take years to get approval.
-
Agree but proof of filing for it should be accepted they are on the path
-
The problem is that the current law says if you are here illegally, applying for citizenship is not an option.
-
Thank you. I did not know and if so that's a problem
-
Getting citizenship also takes about 10 years and costs well over 10k even if they could apply.
-
Then DACA should encompass a fast track path but never ending legal illegal is not the way.
-
Totally agree.

If I remember correctly Obama once said immigration needs to be strict and stop allowing so many people in and employers who hire illegals

And what about the rest of undocumented people that have been living here for more than 15 year and pay more taxes than real americans?
-
I got a solution for them, APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP! If they don't like the taxes, go anywhere else than the US.
-
In many cases they have. Its a long, slow process. You demonstrate profound ignorance.
-
So, because it's a long slow process, it's ok to advocate breaking the law, and allow them here ILLEGALLY???
-
If they are in process, they aren't illegal. Most have permits. We are breaking the deal.
-
If you had paid attention, you would have heard that the US will work with those already the program and not deport them.
-
Right. Like any other promise made by this administration.
