The ACLU are a front group for the Rothblatts but is this bill saying that healthcare providers will be allowed to withdraw access to care related to transgender health or just refuse transgender people care fullstop? It’s not clear and tbh I’m not in favour of either.

But Kamala Harris is conflating the EqualityAct with this new Healthcare Bill which is complete nonsense. They are two separate points and being prepared to manipulate people in order to conflate sex with gender which is so damaging for women’s rights is disgusting.

What's happening is that HHS is proposing to change a rule that Obama put in place that compels doctors to perform gender transition services, even if they disagree with those services on moral or medical grounds. Because of this, Harris is for the EA which wld override the rule.

Thanks for the clarification. But that’s pretty much like saying we MUST throw all women under a bus so trans people aren’t forced to shop around for healthcare. It’s still a false equivalence when she could simply push to amend the HHS.

No. It is not appropriate to compel strangers to pretend someone is the opposite sex, a biological impossibility. Further, the InEquality Act infringes upon the rights of women/girls/lesbians by erasing our *sex-based* protections. Gender Identity must be struck from the HR 5.
