It sounds good but the rich should pay more much more in taxes. Repealing the taxs cam from last year would be better.

Agreed.
-
That's not going to happen for a while. We need to start somewhere and this is an active, positive step. Thanks,

Y'all should repeal the
#GOPTaxScam bill first. -
It should be both. Same bill.

How about reversing the $1.5T tax scam, too!
-
That's right at the top. Raise taxes on the wealthiest, too.
-
Bingo, offset the cuts to middle and lower income by raising them on the wealthy and corporations again
-
Yeah, and not just back to the previous rate, but higher. This bullshit has all but wiped out the middle class.
-
It’s funny, all of the MAGA nostalgia bullshit for the 1950s conveniently leaves out that it was that prosperous because of high marginal rates and vast public investments, not in spite of them

Really? How about re-building the safety net for the poorest? Acting to prevent climate change? Re-building decaying infrastructure?
-
One thing at a time. Sen Harris and others are going to address many long ignored issues.
-
I hope so I am tired of empty promises.

Aren't we adding enough to the debt already? It's not a tax cut we need. It's the wealthy paying their fair share. We have to whittle the debt down. Bring us better pay, more jobs, infrastructure, renewable energy. Protect our privacy, end citizens united. You know, useful things

TAXES PAY THE BILLS! Cutting taxes sounds nice, but it's depriving the government of income. First, get rid of the billionaires' tax cut, then do something for the middle class. (PS-I'm in the middle class, so don't go nuts on me.)
-
We’re not gonna get rid of the GOP tax cuts while Republicans own the Senate. Just not realistic.
-
True. But introducing a bill like Ms. Harris is suggesting isn't going to pass either. It's just lip service, trying to make us feel good. Not working with me.
-
It's not lip service. What it does is exposes the Senators and Congressmen who vote against it as it will be used against them in 2020 when people are really hurting as the policies from the past two years are in full swing.
