The idea is likable, but what land will be used for this? PLEASE don’t say you’re talking about developing additional wild land! There is so little left as it is! Instead, use areas that humans have ALREADY encroached then abandoned - unusable bldgs, empty lots in towns, etc

The projects under this program are generally based within the built/urban environment. You can see a list of previously funded projects here.https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/interior-announces-133-million-improvements-local-parks-and-recreation-22-cities …

Some high school girls got together in Merkel TX to fix one of our parks a few years ago - thanks to them, and thanks to you.pic.twitter.com/Wh8p32xmjR

You mean free housing for drug addicts? Because those are the are the people occupying our parks. Tax payers can’t use the parks because it’s not safe for us.

It's also a clever way to clear the urban landscape of tents.
-
So criminalize homelessness? How exactly would that work?
-
I'm saying that's going to be the unintended side effect of larger parks and outdoor recreation areas.
-
I see what you're saying. It's just bullshit that politicians do not care about the downtrodden and homeless. They need to be finding ways to lift them up, and get them off the streets. Another side effect of this is more gun free zones, and less protection for our youth.

While it seems like a great idea our parks are overrun with homeless, drug users and used needles. No way I will take my grandkids to a CA park.

Bravo! Thank you Kamala Harris. Thing we do when when we spend time in quality outdoor parks and open space feed the mind, the body and the spirit. Our children need more play and exploration in parks and open spaces to thrive.

Please work to reauthorize the Land & Water Conservation Fund! No taxpayer money, plenty of parks and wild land, and benefits to communities across the country. Let's keep what's already proven to work!

Thank you, Senator. Other equally, if not more, dire concerns we need to achieve:
#MedicareForAll#CollegeForAll#FightFor15 It's an uneven playing field. Yes everyone can achieve financial security if we don't have to worry about health & education expenses. -
Haha... Because there are no poor in all those socialized European countries?
-
I never said that. Of course there are.
-
Apparently everyone cant achieve financial security, even if they don't have to worry about health and education costs.pic.twitter.com/j0CkGw6ODZ

My bad. You are correct. What I MEANT to say was that if the obstacles of paying for healthcare & college were removed, MORE people would be able to achieve financial security. Not ALL, unfortunately.
-
I disagree... if the money isnt taken in the form of tuition and premiums, then it is taken in th e form of taxes. Same amount of disposable income, less choice. One thing Europeans do correctly re: education.... sure it is "free," but it has to be earned via performance.

https://vimeo.com/76646445 I'd rather be taxed for
#MedicareForAll than be worried about my health and the health of my family should any of us develop cancer, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer"s, etc, etc. I encourage all to watch@MMFlint's#Sicko -
The economy is run by a healthy Middle Class. Healthy means good wages and affordable health care. Who wants a trickledown pennies when you can have a stable future no matter what befalls your health? Seriously who???
