I’ve just introduced the #Outdoors4All Act to help communities build more parks, playgrounds, and other outdoor recreation areas. Our children and future generations deserve to be able to enjoy our parks and open spaces, and it’s time we take steps to ensure that.

The idea is likable, but what land will be used for this? PLEASE don’t say you’re talking about developing additional wild land! There is so little left as it is! Instead, use areas that humans have ALREADY encroached then abandoned - unusable bldgs, empty lots in towns, etc

The projects under this program are generally based within the built/urban environment. You can see a list of previously funded projects here.https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/interior-announces-133-million-improvements-local-parks-and-recreation-22-cities …

You mean free housing for drug addicts? Because those are the are the people occupying our parks. Tax payers can’t use the parks because it’s not safe for us.

I'm saying that's going to be the unintended side effect of larger parks and outdoor recreation areas.

I see what you're saying. It's just bullshit that politicians do not care about the downtrodden and homeless. They need to be finding ways to lift them up, and get them off the streets. Another side effect of this is more gun free zones, and less protection for our youth.

While it seems like a great idea our parks are overrun with homeless, drug users and used needles. No way I will take my grandkids to a CA park.

Thank you, Senator. Other equally, if not more, dire concerns we need to achieve: #MedicareForAll #CollegeForAll #FightFor15 It's an uneven playing field. Yes everyone can achieve financial security if we don't have to worry about health & education expenses.

My bad. You are correct. What I MEANT to say was that if the obstacles of paying for healthcare & college were removed, MORE people would be able to achieve financial security. Not ALL, unfortunately.

I disagree... if the money isnt taken in the form of tuition and premiums, then it is taken in th e form of taxes. Same amount of disposable income, less choice. One thing Europeans do correctly re: education.... sure it is "free," but it has to be earned via performance.
