So let us get this straight. NY Times has OpEd from WH telling that cabinet talked about invoking the 25th amendment, but this pres is being allowed to nominate a SC judge? Too crazy to do the job, but not too crazy to know how to pic a judge? WTF?

She needs to point out her concerns in a way that can't be flipped. Saying Kavanaugh might be loyal to Trump could apply under any president. Get specific on why Kavanaugh is morally unfit for the job. Put him on trial!

No. It’s about the law. Odd that you’re a lawyer. Odd indeed.
-
The law IS personal, for instance, someone may take it personally that their kid was kinda murdered. Laws against killing was based on giving justice to victims, not just plucked from the sky. If you believe in law this judge shouldn't touch Roe v Wade.

More than 100 civil & human rights groups oppose Brett Kavanaugh. We must block any nomination by an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal matter at all cost. OPPOSE this illegitimate nomination from harming health, safe gun laws, worker rights, say NO.https://civilrights.org/100-civil-human-rights-groups-urge-senate-oppose-brett-kavanaugh/ …

Yes. But how?

Make sure you are ready to vote. Take friends with you to vote. Volunteer to register people. Ge in touch with your local
@IndivisibleTeam to learn more. Thank you for your question, David. -
Sure. But that stuff is down the road. What tangible, real-world thing can the average citizen do to prevent a Kavanaugh confirmation?
-
He will negatively affect Reproductive Rights, Healthcare/ACA, Gun Laws, Voting Rights, Environment, Consumer Rights, Workers' Rights, Education, Net Neutrality. That's for starters. Call your senators.
-
And all of those decisions will be enshrined into law by the time anyone can do anything about it. And we both know that everyone voting for his confirmation is doing it because they’ve been told to or paid to. There isn’t much the common person can do to sway them.
-
I like the push to vote, but it’s the confirmation that needs to be stopped, because the cleanup will be nearly impossible.

Yup. As a woman with ADD and Asthma, I am what's at stake. My cousins disabled son is what's at stake. My wiccan friends rights are what's at stake, my Gay & Trans friends lives are what's at stake. My ability to own my own body is what's at stake.
-
Addendum: our democracy is what's at stake. Keeping all equal before the law, and law enforcement. THAT is what's at stake.

I can tell it is personal. That's why Democrats are losing. All it should matter is if he will defend and interpret the Constituion. That's all.
