DACA was never passed into law. Federal judges are supposed to rule on laws, not to try to hamstring the executive branch. This ruling will be overturned by a higher court.

Looking forward to it, but not holding my breath!

It was the DREAM Act that wasnt passed into law. DACA was simply an initiave issued under DHS & drew upon existing laws allowing them discretion to issue work permits in the absense of a law passed stating otherwise. Trumps EO rested on the premise DACA was illegal; it wasnt.

After 4 months of waiting/anxiety my beautiful wife got her DACA renewal approved today! valid through 7/30/20 which should give us time to get the green card process resolved! She also completed her Bachelor's this week and passed her CA DL test!pic.twitter.com/lg28Y1Nsdz

My son’s girlfriend is a DACA and she is precious. It is so hard to watch how many doors get closed on her. I’m happy about the federal court ruling.

My wife and I got married in March, sooner than we had planned but we were ready for it. We wanted to start her I-130 Petition for her green card asap. I'm not sure if your son and his gf are ready for that step but it is an option if they are.
-
We just had a quick courthouse wedding to get the paperwork started and will have a big traditional wedding next March.

Thank you for your supportive and informative words.

I'm not sure what state they live in but here in San Diego we are being represented pro bono by Jewish Family Services. You might do some research on local organizations that help with immigration paperwork, Catholic Charities does in a lot of cities I know.

I took her to an immigration lawyer in Bridgeport , CT. We were told that there is nothing certain as a path to citizenship. If they were to get married, she could establish residency after five plus years and then perhaps apply but no guarantee.
-
The I-130 Petition thru citizen marriage usually takes 1-2 years. That grants a green card, 3 years after receiving her green card she is eligible for naturalization. If she crossed illegally it takes a few extra steps vs if she overstayed a legal entry but its still possible.

To recap the past 48 hours: Mueller wants to talk to Trump. 9th stuck down the sanctuary cities suit. Judge ruled that Trump has to restore DACA and another judge is holding Trump accountable for reuniting families. That about right?
-
You left out that the emoluments clause litigation against trump is moving forward
-
I forgot about Manafort, too. The cards are starting to waver and slide.

I'm hoping @MichaelCohen212 would make this weekend even better by releasing some more tapes
(Remember Mike, while Trump would let you take a bullet for him.. he would never take one for you)
