If the GOP maintains its Congressional majority next year, I won't be surprised if they vote to install him as POTUS for life.

Riots would feed right into their plan, and result in martial law and God only knows what other atrocities. South Korea peacefully took to the streets, shut down the country, & removed a corrupt leader. There's no reason we can't do the same.
-
You are right. It would be the excuse they would use to impose martial law. Even peaceful protests can be used by them. Reminds me of book called Silence by Jose Saramago. Population rebelled in an unusual way.
-
Sounds like an interesting to book. I found a lot of his other books ( & I'm feeling a little sheepish I wasn't aware he had won the Nobel Prize) but I couldn't find that one. Do you have any links?

It was actually called Seeing. (Which puts a damper on my excitement that someone wants my recommendation) Here is a link that has a review. http://bookstimeandsilence.blogspot.com/2009/04/seeing-jose-saramago.html?m=1 …

The most urgent order of business in Congress is to pass laws stipulating no president can start nuclear war on her/his own. Vote yes on S 200, the Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act and HR 669 Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act.
-
There is a law. Called the US Constitution: all powers to authorize war go to Congress.

People in Congress are more interested in perpetuating themselves than serving the country. It's become a not so funny joke.
