Childhood poverty costs US $1.03 trillion/year (http://source.wustl.edu/2018/04/childh …)
or nearly $2.7 billion each day. - why isn’t eliminating childhood poverty front and center in either major party’s platform?

Who’s going to pay for your utopia!?

We take some of the 700 billion congress just allotted to the Military Industrial complex and use it for the people of this country instead of machines of war that don't help anyone except the CEOs of those companies.
-
And leave ourselves vulnerable to attack? Don’t you like sleeping at night cozy in your bed knowing that those “machines of war” are actually machines of peace.
-
Machines of peace? Seriously? They are machines of death and destruction designed for regime change when US interests (oil and opium) are infringed upon. Those machines make us less safe. They cause chaos that allows radical entities to come into power.
-
Also, I never said take all of the money from our bloated military budget. I said SOME of the money. Even if we gave 500 billion to the MIC that would be more than any other country in the world.
-
You have this fantastical view of how the world should work. Truth is, war is business. And if it benefits those that pander it, they will do so. Your ideas of free tuition and homeless care are a pipe dream

I say that because it will never happen man. As much as you or I would want it to happen, it never will.
