Great news for agriculture: Congress approved the add. $1.5 billion in disaster aid I secured for our farmers & ranchers, as well as provisions to ensure our sugar producers were included + coverage for quality losses. Given challenges in farm country, this is vital assistance.

Voted for common sense legislation today to protect both unborn children who can feel pain & infants who survive attempted abortions. The bills received bipartisan support from the Senate - unfortunate that neither received the 60 votes needed to advance.
We can and should fund the government and secure our borders. I voted to proceed to House-passed CR with $5.7b for border security & disaster assist funds. It is only reasonable that we pass our approps bills, keep the gov open and provide funding for the wall & border security.
