Tonight, @SenSanders will hold a town hall about #MedicareForAll. A new program that would be a total Washington take over everyone’s #healthcare in #zerochoice America.
-
-
Remember when President Obama promised that if people liked their insurance they could keep their insurance? Millions of Americans found out that wasn’t true, let’s not dupe the American people again.

The Sanders plan would get rid of the
#MedicareAdvantage plans that more than 17 million seniors have today.#AARPShow this thread

Not for emergencies. Canadians love their healthcare. I am so tired of these untruths.
-
Non urgent, yes wait times are sometimes long. Also people forget we have the population of California in a land mass bigger than Austrailia. Emergency surgery/procedures happen just as quick (or slow) as the US. I worked in both systems.

In Canada, people have preventative checkups, so problems are identified WELL in advance and surgeries can be scheduled appropriately. Urgent care is administered urgently, of course.

Hey dude, I was worried a mole might be melanoma so I walked into a clinic, waited ten minutes. They said it wasn’t but just to be safe I could get it tested, booked me into a dermatologist the next day. Didn’t cost me a cent. Canada’s healthcare is the bomb.

Quick question. What is the wait time for surgery or treatment for someone who can’t afford healthcare?
-
Forever, I sadly voted for this man, & he gives no shits about his constituents. I am in medical debt up to my ass, still haven’t had the proper procedure I need & just moved to a new state for a job w/insurance, because there are no viable jobs in Wyoming
-
I’m super sorry to hear this, I can’t imagine how rough that is. I hope your new job goes well and you’re able to get out from under some of the debt! But yes, you’re right, it is forever but for some reason many people don’t like to view it that way.
-
I’m actually very happy to have left the state of Wyoming. This senator has done nothing for us... I’ll be fine, have a great mind set & nothing life threatening, but so sad for those that are in worse ways.. and all this man thinks of is $$
-
Glad to hear it and glad it’s nothing life threatening. It is unfortunate for the people who have to remain there under him. Hopefully he’ll get voted out when his term is up.

If Sen. Barrasso read the article, he would have seen that there are no wait times for emergency or urgent care and the wait times were for selective or non-urgent procedures. Compare to US where you can die if you don’t have insurance or funds.
-
We will never get through to these people. They’ve made up their unreasonable minds already...
-
True...but you hope reading comprehension would be a prerequisite for political office- I mean, how did he read that tax bill, if he can’t read an article... oh wait

We have some wait time issues for elective healthcare procedures. But our quality of care and cost (cheap) of said quality greatly overshadows yours. See what your neighbors are doing right instead of taking time and energy for twisting facts.
-
I had a clinically severe anxiety disorder episode last Summer. Got medical and psychological help. No wait, only paid for the meds (equivalent of about $7 so far total).
-
My mother got both her knees replaced last year, one TKR (total) and one PKR (partial). Sure, she waited 8 months but she didn't have to pay ~$75,000 ($49,500 is the average cost of a TKR in the US, including prosthesis and the surgery)

Hi, Canadian here. That is true, only for a narrow range of services. I am 60 and have had some health issues. My experience with the health system has been great. No Canadian would want to swap systems with you.
