I'm no economist, but shouldn't there be an asterisk or something next to the companies that have ALSO announced layoffs?

The damn thing is not implemented yet. Also, 40 companies out of millions is not persuasive. Many of these bonuses were already negotiated, or are paid for by layoffs. Also, a random meme is not credible. The GOP needs to go on a vision quest, and also repeat 4th grade.

At a company I worked at, 1 year senior leaders all got 7 figure bonuses and they so generously gave us each a boom box (a new thing at the time) and $500. Crumbs to them & to the company but they expected us 2 be grateful - it doesn't work like that. We aren't stupid.pic.twitter.com/BOUPj0SfLL
