The past two decades have seen a snowballing destruction & dismantling of our most cherished institutions, incl. the Senate, which has normalized a dangerous shift of power from the people our govt is supposed to serve, to a small handful of power wielders & special interests.
I'm deeply disappointed in the lack of courage or principle this displays within the Senate body, and extremely worried about where this takes our country moving forward.

Thank you. This makes me so despondent. I knew they would acquit, but I had hoped they’d allow witnesses. Now, I know they didn’t because they’re scared of the truth being said under oath. So long as that doesn’t happen, they can claim it isn’t true.
