As Members of Congress, it is our responsibility to work together to prevent anti-Semitism before it starts. The mission of the Task Force will be to collaborate with government, law enforcement, educators, advocates, clergy, and others to educate, explain, & empower.
We will work to call out hate, support legislative efforts to combat anti-Semitism, promote Holocaust education, and bring this issue to the forefront of our national conversation.
To be clear: this will be a bipartisan task force because combating hate is a nonpartisan issue. During a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise, it’s vital that we not allow ideology or partisanship to blur our perspective about right and wrong.
As @SenatorLankford and I launch this new initiative to combat anti-Semitism, we look forward to collaborating with the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism, led by @NitaLowey and @RepChrisSmith, to work across chambers and party lines to fight hate.
