Thank you for your support of this bill. Most of Nevada's very small population counties have a high percentage of public lands and consequently a very small tax base ... this change will help them provide critical services to their communities and on public lands.
I’m proud to support Senator @SteveDaines’ Small County PILT Parity Act.
This bipartisan legislation would modify the PILT formula so that counties with populations under 5k would receive increased federal funding to support essential services in rural communities.
