No one needs special protections. If they are a citizen they can vote. If states want to require an ID to vote it’s not the federal governments position tell them different.
Despite the progress we’ve made, far too many members of our communities are still not fully protected under the Voting Rights Act. That’s why I’m co-sponsoring The Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019 to restore and bolster the provisions of the VRA.

If it doesn't include Nationwide Voter ID. And excludes any and all non citizens from taking any part in our election system then it is not voter rights at all.

Only US citizens can or should vote! Voter ID should also be required.

Election Day should be a Federal Holiday to ensure all Americans can exercise their right to vote. We are lucky in Clark County that voting is easy and we have the opportunity to vote, there are many places in America where this is not the case.
