I don't understand the double standard of sanctioning Iranian proxies while allowing Saudi proxies to run amok. Are we partisans in the Sunni-Shia internecine war that we unleashed by invading Iraq? We're not going to make any progress when we're seen as a dishonest broker.
Legislation I co-sponsored last year to impose sanctions on Hezbollah is heading to the President’s desk for signature. I’m pleased to see the House and Senate work in a bipartisan manner to stop foreign governments and individuals from supporting this state sponsor of terrorism.
