It’s graduation season! As we congratulate all who are finishing up school this year, here’s my wish for our college graduates: For Congress to solve the student debt crisis that is creating tremendous hardship for an entire generation of young people.

But just days ago the Trump admin decided to eliminate a program that protects graduates from predatory student loan practices. Today in NYC, I’m calling for new oversight to protect students, and for policies that will help reduce debt for our graduates, not hold them back.

I have a different idea Sen how about if Colleges start firing 50% of all their administrators & start canceling all their courses that do nothing to educate their students & oh yes stop increasing their tuition above the inflation rate that would save students a whole lot of $

And from Sandy Hook to Tx., our kids keep getting shot...tragically, more children died from gun violence than from serving in the military. Cannot stand!

Correction: 2 generations of young people. do not forget us, Gen X please( and how to help us recover from the 9% + interest rates we got stuck with before the “debt crisis” was a “thing”. Many of us still paying off these amortized loans that we had no choice but to take.

Their tax cuts for the rich could have wiped out every federal student loan and had money left over...

Ahhh so the rich should be required to pay for all the student loans people took out to go to school and get a liberal arts degree that did not enable them to secure employment with a good enough salary to pay their monthly loan payments....

I don’t really care at all what you think. It’s an economic fact that it’s better for young people to have that extra money to spend in the local economy than to not have it to spend.

So the “young people” are now entitled to the fruits of my laborer.... I started as a laborer for $6.50/hr WITH a college degree and have worked my way up to President of my company. Guess hard work and a line of sight past my next trip to Whole Foods has gone out of style.pic.twitter.com/ZuGtSGXSnR

Regulate how much a college or university can charge. The amount of $$ we spend and the amount of time my kids are off from college is disgusting. College can be done in 2-3 years if it were full time. But then again the way the snowflakes need their safe spaces that won’t work

If you cannot afford the debt do not sign up for it. Taxpayers do not need to fund student loans.

Why not focus on improving K-12 education so that h.s. grads can get good apprenticeships which may be more valuable than college in starting a career path.

Congrats to all the indoctrinated youth who put their financial future in jeopardy for an education in leftist propaganda by socialist professors...I hear McDonald's is hiring, just thought I'd throw that out there. You're welcome
