Can the bashing. It’s not the appropriate place for it.

I still think it is! Original thoughts to help the country. Not a puppet for anybody but the people

@SenGillibrand maybe someday you’ll be in the White House serving the American people, just like Barbara Bush, but as president. -
Oh Puh-lease! She’s a baby killer!

“But why should we hear about body bags, and deaths, and how many, what day it’s gonna happen, and how many this or what do you suppose? Or, I mean, it’s, it’s not relevant. So, why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that? And watch him suffer.”
-
It’s a bit ridiculous how we decide to suddenly revere dead people.

Public servant? Nope. Neither employed or elected by the public. Public figure, yes. Words matter.
-
You are right that words matter. For that reason your point is wrong. To serve does not require employment or election. One can serve the public voluntarily.
-
Confusing public service with public figures is how we wind up with grifters (like the current
#posotus) in positions of public service they have neither the desire nor capacity to fill. Sure, a First Lady CAN serve the public - but only as a public figure - not a public servant. -
I think you just don't want to admit you're wrong. Your original point was words matter. By definition one who serves is a servant. Anyone who serves the public is a public servant, but not necessarily a public official, e.g. A First Lady About your new point ...
-
I believe misguided people confused public service w/ politics. Voters frustrated w/ "politics as usual" sought someone w/o a record of public service, in hope of finding someone who wasn't a politician. That was wrong, but nobody thought of Trump as a public servant...
-
They just didn't know, and now most wont admit, that he is little more than a self servant.
