If we want to fix our economy, we need to start rewarding work again. That means paying workers enough so they can care for their families and save for retirement. And making sure our entrepreneurs have access to the capital they need to succeed.

We have to teach people financial literacy. We don't have it in our schools now, and most people, along with not having funds, do not even know how to plan for their own retirement.

Most of the population is trying to put food on the table and a roof over their heads - talking about planning for retirement is absurd when they can't plan for the next six months. Living wages, affordable health & child care are required. Can't plan with what you haven't got.

For profit colleges are driving this crisis. There needs to be transparency, oversight and consequences from the predators who run these schools.https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2015/09/the-failure-of-for-profit-colleges/405301/ …

Can we institute a #NonLivingWageTax on companies like WalMart that force their employees to rely on government programs rather than pay a #LivingWage. Why are taxpayers compensating #WalMart's employees?? Get that money back from these companies with the tax code,

Thoughts on a #UniversalBasicIncome ? If every adult received, say $10-12k/year, they may be more willing to take risks since they don't have to worry about the bare minimums. They could more easily afford to go to college or start a business. Risk taking can be good for economy.

Cut funding 4 many programs (like food stamps, maybe Medicaid, and gasp, the military) since this lowers need 4 them; get rid of the standard deduction to raise revenue. This amount is still low (at ~ Fed. Poverty line 4 single adult) So it doesn’t take away incentives to work.
