Across the country, educators are organizing and raising their voices to demand fair pay and better resources for their students. I will stand with them, and I hope you will, too.

Teachers have shared devastating stories of struggling to make ends meet, even as they educate our kids. We need to stand with them. We need to do better.

Teachers give their nights and weekends, dig into their own pockets to buy supplies and care for our kids as if they were their own. On top of all that, they shouldn’t have to struggle just to get by.

I fundamentally believe that one of the most important things we can do for our country’s future is invest in our kids. We need to do that now by investing in the women and men who spend their lives educating them.

To those of you who’ve taken a stand at your state capitols and in your communities – to those who’ve stood side by side with your colleagues to demand change: Thank you.

Every day, teachers give their all to lift up our kids. We must give our all to stand by their side. Keep up your fight, teachers. We’re with you.

plus I have an answer for teacher pay! As teachers strike for higher pay, parents are left without a place for their kids. How about we pay teachers like baby sitters? $3 hr x 8 hrs= $24 day x 30 kids=$720 day x 180 days= $129,000 . there you go!
