With all due respect @SenGillibrand please concentrate on GOVERNING on behalf of Americans. We don't need another sideshow distraction so congress can show Americans how concerned they are.
Yes this was a horrific situation, but it is now being addressed.

Congress has a responsibility to address this because of horrific gaps in legal protections which allowed this to happen. “Protecting Young Athletes from Sexual Abuse & Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017" has passed the Senate but is waiting on a vote in the House
@SpeakerRyan -
Thank you for your explanation, it makes sense to me now. I am just tired of Congress failing to get anything done. Ever I agree that the horror of Larry Nasser must never happen again. Whatever it takes to do that, I support. Olympics and colleges must be held accountable

Can we clean the abusers out of Congress first? Who are the others that paid off their victims with tax money?

So, are you now going to insist Bill Clinton be prosecuted for his abuse of women?

Hey Kirsten, at least Nassar got a fair hearing....which, thanks to your efforts, is more than I can say for Al Franken.
-
Yes that is true.... al was thrown away.... go that seems like so long ago!! I unliked the tweet..I forgot about that
-
She preceded that by throwing Bill Clinton under the bus, long before she finally turned her attention to Trump. I will never support this woman.
-
Actually that sounds reasonable.... But the country being what it is shouldn't we be supporting all women??? Just your thoughts and ideas... not picking a fight with you!!
-
I'm a huge HIllary Clinton supporter. Supported her in 2008 and 2016. I think she's our legit president and should be in the Oval Office, right now. But I will not support ANY candidate, M or F, if they are disloyal or align with Bernie.
-
Me as well... but sometimes I don't look at the whole picture... that's why I read so much, and watch cspan and chat with others..I wasn't political until 2012.. and then it was just to make sure Obama won!! Now I'm involved but still learning(cant stand Bernie ever)
-
That's the way. I've been a Democrat most of my life, more years than I'd care to remember. Stay knowledgeable. Then follow your conscience. Good for you!
-
Thanks! I've always identified as a Dem, never really knew what it meant. My grandparents were Ds(except my Grammy loved Reagan) in 92 all I knew was this:I was told to go and vote D all the way down..don't even look at the names just look for the D. More informed now

Great to hear that Gillibrand is against conspiracies of silence. Will she tell you what Obama did to me after I changed the world? Or not that much against it?

I'd like to hear more about the slush fund for congressional members to use to pay off settlements. That should never have happened. The American people shouldn't be paying for the disgusting behavior of congressional members. Let's hear more about that too.
